When a client calls me pumped up and totally excited about a specific shoot idea they have, it's hard for me not to share in their enthusiasm and dive in head first with the collaboration efforts. Such was the occasion when Allen called me last week looking to have me take some surprise photos at the moment he proposed to his girlfriend. Not only did he want me to photograph the event, but he wanted me entirely out of site. I could tell that this was gearing up to be my kind of shoot!

Brittney and Rich :: Denver Engagement Photographer at City Park

This past week I had the pleasure of shooting the newly engaged couple, Brittney and Rich, on location at Denver's City Park. With the incredible spring weather we've been having, we ventured out well before sundown to snap some good photographs during the golden hour. As we were driving through City Park on our way to get some nighttime photos near Elitch Gardens, the sun began to glow an incredible orange huge - and I immediately pulled over and ran the happy couple onto the 18th green of Denver's City Park Golf Course.

All in all this turned out to be a fantastic shoot to kick off the outdoor spring season; and as a photographer who loves location shooting, there's really nothing better than working outside! See the samples below...

Couple Anniversary Portraits :: A Denver Alley Adventure

When Jessica and Jeremy contacted me this fall and asked me to shoot couple portraits of them to celebrate their 3rd wedding anniversary, I came up with the grand plan of using one of their favorite spots as the setting... the old rides at Lakeside Amusement Park. However, when I hatched this scheme I didn't realize how insanely difficult it would be to execute. For those of you who don't know, the owner of Lakeside apparently despises her theme park being used as a backdrop for photos - and pesky photographers. For after having taken only a handful of photos of my clients, we were quickly dispatched by the park's security personnel.
