I just finished installing my pieces at the 5 Points Social club for the Five Points Storefront Art Movement. If you are attending the Five Points Jazz Festival this weekend (which you should be!), please wander down to 28th and Welton to checkout my photos of the neighborhood. I'll be hanging around the booth with Maia Stone later in the afternoon, so feel free to stop by!Read More

After some delays in getting my new site layout finalized, I'm finally back to updating and populating the galleries. My latest addition features photos I took this past summer on my ventures out to High Plains Raceway, about an hour east of Denver (just past Byers), and is dedicated solely to Race Motorcycles. Being a motorcycle rider myself who follows Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies, Casey Stoner, and Valentino Rossi in the MotoGP series, I'm amazed at what racers at any level are able to do with these machines.Read More
I understand this time of year can be a little hectic for parents of seniors; focusing on their child's future, scheduling college interviews, and tying off the loose ends like prom, yearbook orders, and getting those senior photos taken. For me, shooting senior photos is a blast, especially when a client wants to go "on location" and explore the settings downtown Denver has to offer. As a photographer, there's really nothing I enjoy more than incorporating vibrant and unique backgrounds into a shot. When Omar's parents contacted me to book a shoot for their son's senior photos, they let me talk one-on-one with Omar so we could discuss the project. He immediately liked the concepts I had in mind; and was excited about using Denver's eclectic Five Points neighborhood as a backdrop for his portraits.
Since playing and writing songs on his guitar is his favorite pastime, I had Omar bring his acoustic guitar along on the shoot. On the day of the shoot...Read More
Shooting candid family photos is one of my favorite forms of portrait photography; it allows me to capture families interacting in their natural state, without contrived poses or forced smiles. With newborns and infants this can be a little bit of a challenge, simply because they aren't always in the cheeriest of moods. To me, that is what makes baby photography fun and interesting - you really never know what kind of shot you're going to get, but at least the baby's emotions are real and raw. A little bit of advice to photographers wanting to shoot infants: always ask the parents about baby's nap time and sleep schedule when setting up a shoot. A cranky baby can cut your shoot short, make the situation difficult for mom and dad, or just be a general nuisance - making it difficult for you to get the photos you need. Just plan in advance and work with the parents to shoot during baby's normal awake times.Read More
Some samples of a recent actor headshot shoot I did in my Denver studio for local hip hop dancer and entertainer, Jonathan Jaramillo. This little guy really has some skills, and loved hamming it up for the camera. A total joy to work with. Best of luck your journey, Jonathan!
