I’ve always felt the need to express myself creatively, from pencil and charcoal drawing, painting, or playing guitar. However, nothing ever seemed to capture my attention and inspire me as much as photography; the art of working with, and manipulating, light.

In this era of powerful and flexible digital cameras, and portable high-powered light sources, the creative possibilities available to me seem endless. These tools provide total freedom of expression, which allows me to ensure every subtlety and nuance of an image is to my liking.

I enjoy all aspects of digital imaging, from vivid landscapes, to intimate portraits or street photography; capturing moments in life when no one knows they are being photographed, or seizing that instant in time when a subject forgets the camera is there. I find these real moments to be the most captivating and compelling.

When I’m not on a job or working on specific client projects, my photographic passions involve landscapes and star trails. I truly love working in the outdoors after the sun has set; when the stars which are hidden from view by day, are fully exposed and on display. And there’s really no better place for nighttime photography than the mountains of Colorado, where the high altitude and low levels of ambient light provide tremendous viewing of the night’s sky.

In the little spare time I have, I enjoy hiking in the foothills and mountains outside Denver, camping, off-roading, snowboarding, playing guitar, working on home improvement projects, and just chilling out with the dogs.
